Panel Shop or Paintless Repair?

If your looking into options to repair that large dent in your car…your first thought would be to go straight to a panel shop….but did you know that in some cases your car could be repaired that same day, with a non-obtrusive method that doesn’t require your car to be repainted.Enter…THE PAINTLESS DENT REMOVAL METHOD or “PAINTLESS COLLISION REPAIR”Most people are unaware that with the paintless dent removal method, we are able to repair some pretty large and complex dentsNow…in saying this, there are a few requirements in order for us to be able to get a good outcome, so we’ll start with what these are.

1.Paint must be Intact

In order for us to get the best result on your large dent repair, the paintwork must be intact and still in good condition. The main reason being that because we are attemting a “PAINTLESS” (ie. no painting) repair, we want the repair to literally look like nothing ever happened once its complete, so your car is back to its original condition….thats why this method is called “PAINTLESS” dent repair. However if the paintwork is damaged and you just want to have the dent removed, there’s still a chance we may be able to help so feel free to contact us regardless…if we can’t help, we’ll at least be able to point you in the direction of a reputable panel shop who will be able to help you further.

2. Metal Stretch

Now as we mentioned earlier….not everything can be repaired with the paintless dent removal method. Sometimes if the panel is crumpled up, or the dent is too deep, the metal will overstretch past the point of being able to effectively repair with the Paintless dent repair method. Now…don’t be fooled into thinking that the large dent in your car is just going to “pop” out. We don’t use suction cups or magnets, or boiling water, which is the common misconception. To repair a large or complex dent, we use specialised tools and techniques that allows us to slowly manipulate the metal back to its factory position, retaining the original paint finish. It takes years of experience to perform these complex dent repairs to a high standard with the paintless method, so be sure to choose your repairer wisely, as there are no second chances when it comes to PDR.
