DENTS-B-GONE — LIFETIME WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Scope of Coverage
Dents-B-Gone (“the Company”) provides a Lifetime Warranty on all Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) services performed by its authorised technicians, guaranteeing that the repaired area will remain free from reappearance of the original dent or defect for as long as the original customer owns the vehicle.
This warranty applies exclusively to PDR repairs carried out using the Dents-B-Gone Method, completed to professional industry standards.
2. Warranty Coverage
Under this warranty, Dents-B-Gone will re-repair, at no cost to the client, any panel previously serviced by the Company where:
- The repaired dent or defect reappears under normal use and conditions; or
- The metal relaxes or moves, causing a visible return of the original damage.
This warranty covers only the specific area repaired as documented on the original job record or invoice.
3. Exclusions
This warranty does not cover damage or issues resulting from:
- Any new impact, accident, vandalism, hail, or similar event occurring after the original repair.
- Paint failure, corrosion, or delamination existing prior to or arising after the repair.
- Prior body repairs, resprays, or filler work on the affected panel.
- Glue-pulling repairs where paint adhesion, substrate condition, or prior repair quality may limit permanence.
- Environmental or chemical exposure such as UV degradation, acid rain, or industrial fallout.
- Panels that have since been repainted, filled, replaced, or further modified by another repairer.
- Repairs completed on plastic panels such as bumper bars.
- Structural damage, stretched metal, or cracked paint identified prior to repair.
Dents-B-Gone reserves the right to limit or deny warranty coverage where pre-existing conditions or subsequent events make the original repair no longer representative of the Company’s workmanship.
4. Pre-Disclosed or Limited-Result Repairs
Certain repairs may be undertaken where Dents-B-Gone has advised the client that a perfect or fully invisible result may not be achievable due to factors including, but not limited to:
- Stretched or over-stressed metal
- Sharp or deep dents
- Double-skinned or braced panels
- Restricted tool access
- Pre-existing paint or filler repairs
- Prior corrosion or substrate damage
In such cases, the client’s approval to proceed constitutes acknowledgement that:
- The final result may include minor visual irregularities or texture variation.
- The repair is considered successful when the agreed level of improvement is achieved.
- The Lifetime Warranty applies only to the workmanship and structural integrity of the repair, not to aesthetic perfection in circumstances disclosed prior to work commencing.
All such limitations will be recorded on the work order or customer invoice at the time of service.
5. Glue Pulling Repairs
Repairs completed using glue-pull techniques are subject to separate acknowledgement of risk and may carry limited or no warranty coverage depending on paint condition, panel integrity, and environmental factors.
The client will be informed and must sign a Glue Pulling Waiver Form prior to work commencing.
6. Claim Procedure
To make a warranty claim, the client must:
- Notify Dents-B-Gone within 14 days of identifying a potential issue.
- Provide the original invoice or proof of service.
- Present the vehicle for inspection at the Dents-B-Gone workshop or an agreed location.
Following inspection, Dents-B-Gone will determine, at its sole discretion, whether the concern falls within warranty coverage and whether re-repair, remedial work, or denial of claim is appropriate.
7. Limitations of Liability
- Dents-B-Gone’s liability under this warranty is limited strictly to the cost of re-repairing the affected area.
- No cash refunds, vehicle replacement, or compensation for indirect or consequential losses (including transport, downtime, or reduced resale value) will be provided.
- The warranty does not extend to any incidental or subsequent damage unrelated to the original repair.
8. Non-Transferability
This warranty is provided exclusively to the original paying customer and is non-transferable to subsequent vehicle owners, dealerships, or third parties.
9. Documentation and Verification
To validate coverage:
- The repair must be completed by an authorised Dents-B-Gone technician.
- The service must be documented within Dents-B-Gone’s internal repair records.
- The client must provide the original invoice or warranty certificate when making a claim.
Failure to produce proof of repair may void warranty coverage.
10. Termination of Warranty
This warranty becomes null and void if:
- The repaired panel is subsequently painted, filled, or replaced.
- Additional damage occurs to the same area.
- The vehicle is sold, written off, or ownership transferred.
- The repair is modified or reworked by another party.
11. General Provisions
- Any disputes arising from or relating to this warranty shall be resolved under Northern Territory jurisdiction.
- Dents-B-Gone reserves the right to amend, modify, or terminate these terms at any time without notice, provided all completed repairs remain covered under the version active at the time of service.
- This warranty operates in addition to rights and remedies provided under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
